Welcome to the Wintersun Festival web site.
Wintersun is Australia’s longest running Retro Nostalgia Festival featuring the cars, music and lifestyle mainly of the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s.
The festival runs over 10 days in early June (always ending on The Queen’s Birthday Monday, the second Monday in June). The 2012 Festival will run from June 1st to June 11th in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales Australia.
This year is our 25th Birthday year so we are celebrating big time. We have invited back some of the best Wintersun performers and found some brand new ones too! Over the next few weeks we are finalising some great birthday surprises so keep an eye on our web site and sign up for our newsletters.
Pre 1974 Hot Rods, Classics and Custom cars will be driving around and on static display and are a major part of the festival.
Musically, Rock & Roll, Rockabilly, Swing, Honky Tonk and Tribute shows with local, national and international performers will please almost every retro fan.
You can also renew your wedding vows with Elvis, enter a 50’s Cake Bake competition, enjoy a street parade, watch a Roller Derby or 50’s fashion parade, or just lay back and soak up the atmosphere.
Coffs Harbour is a fantastic coastal holiday town in Australia and features The Big Banana and some wonderful restaurants, hotels and attractions. Join the Wintersun crowd for a night at The Porpoise Pool where we will rock around the pool with some very cool sea lions and dolphins.
